FUNDACIÓ CULTURAL CDM - Spain

Fundació Cultural CdM, the International Centre for Music, Tradition, and Heritage of the Crown of Aragon, aims to highlight a musical heritage of considerable importance for the history of Western music from Valencia, a city with enduring historical and cultural significance. This mission is rooted in the historical reality of the Crown of Aragon, a geopolitical, cultural, and social entity that existed from the 12th to the early 18th centuries. The FCCdM is dedicated to the protection, dissemination, recovery, and promotion of the musical and cultural heritage generated across the territories that were part of this realm, as well as its internationalization.

To achieve its objectives, the FCCdM focuses its activities on the regions of Flanders (Holland), Italy, the Mediterranean, the Crown of Aragon, Navarre and Castile, and southern France. It addresses the logical correspondences and synergies established between these different areas of coexistence, as well as the communication and exchange between the cultures of the East and the West.

The International Centre for Music, Tradition, and Heritage of the Crown of Aragon fosters various projects and action programs related to research, dissemination, education, and the production of initiatives in music, heritage, and tradition. These include the ensemble Capella de Ministrers, the MHA Festival (Music, History, and Art), the project to recover early instruments represented in Valencia Cathedral, the Early Music Morella International Academy and Festival, and the restoration of 'El Cant de la Sibil·la'.
