Conferences, workshops, working groups… By becoming a member of REMA, you’ll be able to take part in all its events, expand your network and give your own activities a new lease of life.
Applications for 2027 will be open from 3 July to 16 October. New members will officially join the network on 1 January 2027. The 2027 General Assembly will take place in Berlin from 1 to 3 March 2027.Since 25 May 2023, REMA has been open to all those involved in early music: ensembles, festivals, concert halls, research institutes, record labels, conservatoires, etc. Joining the network offers the opportunity to meet these professionals, develop new collaborations and broaden your horizons.

Your participation in the network’s activities will have an impact on your own organisation, and you will thus be contributing to a stronger, more diversified and more sustainable early music ecosystem.

To join REMA, simply respond to the annual call for applications, which enables around thirty new organisations to join the network each year. For 2026, applications are open from 3 July to 16 October 2026. The organisations selected will officially become members of REMA with effect from 1 January 2027. The 2026 General Assembly will be held in Berlin from 1 to 3 March 2027 and will mark the induction of new members into the network.
To be eligible, applicant organisations must have been in existence for at least three years and have legal personality. Applications are reviewed by the Board of Directors, which assesses both the quality of the activities carried out and their alignment with REMA’s values. The selection criteria and the full procedure are set out in the call for applications. To complete your application, you will be asked to:
provide general information about your organisation;
select your main activity (programmer, ensemble, education, research, agent, publisher, etc.). Once admitted to the network, members may, of course, represent all their activities;
answer specific questions relating to your main activity and attach the relevant supporting documents(programme of activities, list of publications, concerts, etc.);
explain your motivation for joining REMA and demonstrate how your values align with those of the network;
provide a letter of recommendation written by a member of the network.
If you have previously taken part in a project organised by REMA, we also invite you to mention this in your application.CODE OF CONDUCT AND ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE NETWORK
Upon submitting their application, prospective members undertake to comply with the REMA code of conduct, drawn up in consultation with the network’s members. This document ensures adherence to the principles of professional ethics by defining expected behaviour, behaviour deemed inappropriate, and the procedures applicable in the event of a breach.
Members are also encouraged to maintain regular dialogue with the organisation throughout the year and, at the very least, to respond to surveys conducted by REMA. These contributions are essential to ensuring an accurate representation of the realities and activities of the early music sector.
The annual REMA membership fee is set at €500 per calendar year.To help new members settle in, a preferential rate of €300 applies for the first year of membership.
