"Embar(o)quement immédiat!" Festival began in 2002. Yannick Lemaire and Fabien Guilloux shared their interest in sacred music and created the baroque ensemble Harmonia Sacra. They brought together a few young artists from the region to create a chamber choir and very quickly built up a first festival, entirely devoted to Jesuit music, of which the town of Valenciennes has one of the most important 18th-century libraries.
