1st Baroque Orchestra Academy and its closing concert
10 to 14 February 2020
As part of the artistic residency of the ensemble La Diane Française within the Festival Baroque de Pontoise, and in collaboration with the Centre de musique baroque de Versailles, a baroque orchestra academy is offered in partnership with the Conservatoire of Cergy-Pontoise, to promote French Baroque music and initiation of conservatory students to practice on ancient instruments.
For a week (from February 10 to February 14, 2020), the academy will allow teachers and students of the Conservatory of Cergy-Pontoise to work and mount a program around Jean-Marie Leclair (1697- 1764), considered the father of the French violin school and surprisingly forgotten after his death.
This collective work will be coordinated by the residence ensemble, under the direction of Stéphanie-Marie Degand, and will be publicly released on Friday February 14, 2020 at 7 p.m. with the participation of Thierry Geffrotin (Europe 1)
Co-realisation of Festival Baroque de Pontoise / Conservatoire à rayonnement régional - Cergy-Pontoise (Cergy).
