Theresia Orchestra presents Cimarosa’s “Le astuzie femminili” on CD

Revived at the Reate Festival in 2022, CPO releases Domenico Cimarosa's "Le astuzie femminili" on CD featuring Theresia Orchestra. Premiered 230 years ago in Naples, this two-act opera buffa, revived in its original manuscript and instrumentation, showcases Cimarosa's wit and musical brilliance. Led by conductor Alessandro De Marchi, Theresia Orchestra accompanied a talented ensemble of emerging singers Eleonora Bellocci, Martin Licari, Rocco Cavalluzzi, Matteo Loi and Angela Schisano.
This presents the first modern recording of this delightful work on period instruments and marks Theresia's third album with CPO, continuing their mission to revive classical era rarities. Available from April 2024.
