Venite, Exultemus: new album by Concerto Soave
On 31 October 2025, the Concerto Soave ensemble will release its new album Venite, Exultemus on Ricercar / Outhere Music. Conducted by Jean-Marc Aymes and featuring baritone Romain Bockler, this programme highlights motets by André Campra and Nicolas Bernier, two masters of the French petit motet inspired by Italy.
Combining spiritual fervour and French elegance, these rare works for bass voices and violins reveal a striking expressive richness. Organ pieces by Dumage, Marchand and Lebègue punctuate the recording, providing a refined setting for this rediscovery.
Founded over thirty years ago and based in Marseille, Concerto Soave continues to explore the Baroque repertoire with poetry and rigour. The arrival of Romain Bockler as co-artistic director marks a new stage for the ensemble, symbolising transmission and renewal.
