D-Rellingen, Kirche (the authentic place of Telemann’s activities)

In autumn 1721 Georg Philipp Telemann came from Frankfurt to the River Elbe to take office as the honourable director of music.

The Hamburger Ratsmusik pays tribute to this anniversary with a recording, in cooperation with the label cpo. It will feature precisely the three cantatas Telemann himself performed at his entry in Hamburg, including the previously unpublished cantata ”Kommet her zu mir alle”.
