Call for Applications: Barock Vokal Akademie 2026
In cooperation with Hochschule für Musik Mainz and Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz, the Barock Vokal Akademie (BVA) is inviting applications for its 2026 programme for advanced young singers specialising in Early Music.
Aimed at young professional vocalists (ideally under the age of 30), the programme offers intensive work on baroque vocal repertoire, with a strong focus on stylistic interpretation, performance practice and ensemble singing. Participants will explore both core and lesser-known repertoire from the early baroque to the 18th century, in German, Italian and French, while developing their place within the European Early Music network. Young singers with musical curiosity, enthusiasm and an openness to exploring repertoire off the beaten track are particularly encouraged to apply.
