Oslo Early - Norway

Oslo Early
Oslo Early is Oslo's own early music festival featuring music from the Middle Ages to Romanticism and related genres. Until 2016, Oslo lacked a major festival dedicated to historically informed performance practice of early classical music. It has become an important addition to the versatility of the capital's cultural offerings, not only by offering a dedicated arena for music and musicians that are otherwise rarely experienced, but also by the vibrant approach to music and communication that characterizes the environment.
Oslo Early works closely with important institutions such as the Norwegian Academy of Music, the churches in Oslo, Oslo Kulturskole and NOR59, and has become an important resource in the field of early music and classical music in recent years. Oslo Early aims to promote early music and give new audiences the pleasure of meeting the world's leading early musicians and the best Norway has to offer from early music specialists in a mix of new and well-known repertoire from the Middle Ages to classicism.
