Founded in 2005 by Alexandra Scheibler, the Montreal International Bach Festival has established itself as North America's premier festival celebrating the timeless musical genius of Johann Sebastian Bach and the cultural heritage he inspired.

Every year in November and December, the Montreal International Bach Festival offers some thirty varied events: paid and free concerts, public rehearsals, lectures, concerts for children, meetings with international musicians, and more.<hr class="break-tag" /Today, the festival brings together more than 17,000 local and international festival-goers across a dozen iconic venues in Montreal, such as the Maison symphonique, the Salle Bourgie at the Museum of Fine Arts, Saint Joseph's Oratory of Mount Royal, and numerous churches throughout the city, not to mention the unique performances that take place in Quebec City at the Palais Montcalm.
