REMA Organistrum

Organistrum is a collaborative platform designed to make life easier for musicians and ensembles on tour. Its goal is to help the early music community find suitable instruments more easily, at the right time and in the right place. Whether it's a violone in Belgium, a baroque oboe in Spain or a harpsichord tuned to 415 Hz near Berlin, Organistrum connects musicians, ensembles, owners and institutions.

Organistrum functions as a collaborative database where anyone can share information about the availability, specifications and contacts related to instruments intended for historically informed performance. Our ambition is to strengthen the community, reduce the logistical barriers to touring and encourage the sharing of resources among early music professionals across Europe and beyond.
The tool is completely free to use. If you own an instrument and would like to make it visible to others, you are free to add it to the database. The amount of information published is up to you: a simple description or a complete file with availability periods. Each year, you will be invited to confirm or update your data in order to keep the database relevant and up to date. Please note that it is not a rental service: the platform does not handle bookings or insurance, which must be arranged directly with the owner. All information is published directly by the instrument owners or with their written consent.
