Organistrum: a new platform for early music professionals

Organistrum is an online platform created by REMA to support early music artists and ensembles on tour by facilitating the search for and connection with historical instruments available for hire. Are you looking for a violone in Belgium, a baroque oboe in Spain, or a harpsichord tuned to 415 Hz near Berlin? Organistrum helps you find the right instrument, in the right place, at the right time.
Organistrum was designed as a collective tool, reflecting the REMA community:
- To reduce logistical obstacles when touring
- To encourage the sharing of resources on a European scale
- And to strengthen links between early music professionals
The platform is completely free for rental companies, who can publish their instrument catalogues independently. Organistrum is not a rental service: the platform does not manage bookings or insurance. It is a collaborative database in which instrument makers, owners, ensembles and institutions can list their instruments, indicate their availability, technical specifications and rental conditions.
We invite all musicians to spread the word about Organistrum to their network, and all instrument rental companies and owners to contribute by sharing their catalogue.
