Jacques Hotteterre

18 Mai 2019

Church - Couture-Boussey (76)

Native of La Couture-Boussey, the Hotteterre family gave at the court of Versailles, from 1650 to 1770, a large number of talented musicians. Jacques Hotteterre, called The Roman,  because of an artistic trip to Italy, is the most famous and the most famous of his dynasty. Flutist of the King's Chamber and member of the Stable's music, composer, sought-after pedagogue, he was also a flute and musette maker.

300 years later, a renowned specialist in these instruments, François Lazarevitch is the perfect interpreter to pay tribute to the touching beauty of this composer's work.

It presents a selection of the most beautiful works of Jacques Hotteterre, plunging us into the intimate atmosphere of a concert in the King's Chamber.

On the occasion of the Museum Night, the Bach Academy and the Wind Instruments Museum get together for the first time and offer a variety of free events throughout the day:

Guided tours, a conference and a musical presentation will allow visitors to discover the unique craft heritage offered by this village of Eure, French cradle of wind instruments.

This convivial day will end with "A concert for the Chambre du Roy", performed by Les Musiciens de Saint-Julien.
