Festival Bach en Combrailles
11 to 17 August 2019
With 24 events throughout 7 days, the Bach en Combrailles Festival celebrates its 20th anniversary !
The Auvergne National Orchestra and Amel Brahim-Djelloul will be directed by Patrick Ayrton, the former artistic director of the Festival, to open this edition.
All throughout the week, we shall welcome Julien Wolfs for the Goldberg Variations on the harpsichord and Jean-Luc Ho (artist-in-residence) will play the Musical Offering with the Le Petit Trianon Ensemble.
Maud Gratton will hold the organ to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the copy of the Arnstadt organ inaugurated in 2004 in Pontaumur.
Alice Julien-Lafferière will present the show Papa Bach ! for young audiences, which is co-produced by the Festival.
Finally, as a tribute to Bach's creative genius, the 2019 edition will reach its climax and finish with the world premiere of Philippe Hersant's Nun komm der Heiden Heiland cantata by Les Timbres Ensemble (ensemble in residence) and the Sequenza 9.3 choir conducted by Lionel Sow.
