Bachs Königin
September 2021
Bach may have written his most beautiful pieces for his favourite instrument, the organ. Holland Baroque passes these masterpieces on to the orchestra. As rich as the ‘organo pleno’ sounded on the Silbermann organs of Johann Sebastian Bach, we now hear this wealth of sound translated to the orchestral instruments of Holland Baroque. Oboes, strings, bassoon and a full continuo group pay tribute to the organ: the indisputable ‘Queen of instruments’.
“Holland Baroque makes Bach’s organ pipes dance.” (Volkskrant)
