The house where the composer George Frideric Handel was born has been a museum since 1948. Occupying 550 square metres of exhibition space over two floors, a total of 14 rooms are given over to the “Handel – The European” exhibition, and recount the life and work of the famous Baroque composer. There is also a collection of valuable historical musical instruments.
The Handel Festival takes place annually in May and June at authentic locations. The programme includes Handel’s best-known works as well as some rediscoveries and new works.
