Postscript

Postscript

Postscript is a young period ensemble dedicated to interpreting baroque and romantic music based on history. With a core of four musicians, the group occasionally expands into a small orchestra and collaborates with singers and actors, bringing melodramas to life.
The ensemble is known for its daring programmes, exploring unconventional venues and media. Postscript has performed at notable festivals such as MA Festival Brugge and Utrecht Early Music Festival, and won first prize at the Brothers Graun competition in 2018. Their recordings are available on TRPTK.

Cello Sensation According to Geminiani
Naples found him too wild, but in London he became a sensation: the rhythmic liberties and unpredictable tempi of composer Francesco Geminiani were, in the early 18th century, a scandalous success throughout Europe. Young Canadian star cellist Octavie Dostaler-Lalonde throws herself into Geminiani’s sonatas for cello, supported by her Postscript colleagues.

Octavie Dostaler-Lalonde cello solo, cello piccolo
Victor García García cello continuo, cello piccolo
Michele Pasotti theorbe
Margaret Urquhart violone
