Les Cris de Paris | Geoffroy Jourdain - France
Created by Geoffroy Jourdain, Les Cris de Paris mainly perform vocal and instrumental repertoire from the early 16th century to the present day. Their artistic approach reflects the richness and variety of the backgrounds of the artists who participate in their productions; there may be as few as three or as many as eighty, including composers, arrangers, actors, directors, instrumentalists, dancers, ensemble directors, choir directors, visual artists, sound designers, teachers, and more.
Curious and passionate, they invest themselves with the same audacity in the rediscovery of little-known works as in the exploration of the potential of the voice in contemporary creation. Their musical projects take place in the form of concerts and performances, but also in stage productions combining several artistic forms (theatre, dance, readings, etc.). Most of the creations that punctuate the cultural seasons of Les Cris de Paris combine contemporary music with early music, contemporary music with baroque and romantic music, and so on.
