La Grande Chapelle / Lauda Música

La Grande Chapelle / Lauda Música - Spain

La Grande Chapelle / Lauda Música
La Grande Chapelle, directed by Albert Recasens, is an early music vocal and instrumental ensemble with a European vocation, whose main aim is to give a new reading of the great Spanish vocal works of the 16th to 18th centuries, with a particular predilection for the polychoral production of the Baroque period. At the same time, it aims to contribute to the urgent task of recovering the Hispanic musical repertoire.
Since its foundation in 2005 and stimulated by the desire to disseminate the Hispanic musical heritage, it has created its own label, Lauda, with which it publishes carefully selected recordings of great musical and musicological interest, from an independent position. The label has two main focuses: exploring the relationship between the music and literature of the Golden Age, and recovering the output of the most outstanding Spanish composers of the Renaissance and Baroque periods, always with world premiere recordings, in particular through musicological recreations that place a particular work or composer in context.
