ESMUC - Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya
The Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC) is the only officially authorised public institution in Catalonia that offers bachelor's and master's degrees in higher arts education in music, integrated into the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), and which awards qualifications that are equivalent in all respects to university bachelor's and master's degrees. Its educational offering also includes other postgraduate and continuing education programmes.

The school was founded in 2000 by agreement of the Government of Catalonia and opened its doors in September 2001. It currently has more than 900 students enrolled in the various bachelor's, master's and postgraduate specialisations, continuing education and extension courses offered by the school.
Throughout the academic year, ESMUC hosts a multitude of activities such as concerts, conferences, workshops, congresses and master classes open to both the ESMUC community and the general public. During the months of June and July, summer courses are offered to a wider audience. The school is also committed to the advanced training of young people between the ages of 8 and 17 with high musical abilities through its ESMUC Junior programme.

The fact that ESMUC brings together students from very diverse backgrounds, from more than 25 countries, makes the experience of studying at the school very enriching and contributes to making it one of the most sought-after destinations for Erasmus students.
