A Japanese sensory intoxication with movie & onigiri
Recorder star Stefan Temmingh opens the evening with the expensive and contrasting solo work "Mudai" by the Japanese composer Fumiharu Yoshimine, to which his colleagues from the Nuovo Aspetto ensemble play so-called Ground on salterio, harp, lute, cello and harpsichord. Ground are constantly repeating harmonic patterns that are played around in variations by the different instruments. In the carousel of chords, the musicians can improvise freely on the playground of the Grounds provided they follow a few rules.
