Bach meets overtone singing
Overtone singing in heavenly spheres awaits the audience at the concert by the Spanish ensemble MuOM. In overtone singing, the singers produce flute-like, seemingly unearthly tones. It is a technique that is used in various cultures “to get in touch with the divine” and in which seemingly infinite frequencies are explored. This musical adventure is enhanced with movements from Johann Sebastian Bach's “Goldberg Variations”, played by the Meteor string trio on period instruments.
