Vox Feminae - The Kapsber'girls.
08 March France / Amilly
Forgotten by history, they nevertheless left behind works that could be called masterpieces, testimonies to their lives that encyclopaedias failed to record.
These women were Italian composers who, during the Seicento, poured their souls and talent into their music as a means of expression in a world where their genius often went unrecognised.
Throughout this programme punctuated with biographical accounts, the Kapsber'girls paint a musical portrait of these Italian women composers who, among many others, contributed to the history of music.
And as a nod to this, the concert takes place on International Women's Rights Day.
