8th “Note senza tempo” Early Music Festival

From 29 May to 29 May
From 30 May to 30 May Italy / Porto Torres

In 2022, the Dolci Accenti association founded the Academy of Early Music named after the musician Cristóbal Galán, dedicated to young talents keen to further their study and practice of early music. Since then, the association’s educational activities have also focused on the formation of various Baroque orchestral ensembles in Sassari, Olbia and Vicenza, and have involved participation in the Early Music Youth Orchestra project led by Dr Alberto Sanna, which has also brought together various academies, including the London String Academy.

They wished to offer talented young concert performers a space for training and exchange in order to explore topics related to the use of period instruments, performance practice, research and the comparison of sources. The results will enable them to gain greater visibility and a better ability to express themselves during live concerts.
By filling this gap, Sassari is positioning itself at the heart of early music production, particularly through works by forgotten composers, brought back into the spotlight and never performed again.

The aim is to familiarise young musicians with early music and the use of period instruments through participation in courses taught by teachers specialising in this repertoire. To promote the development of young musical talent through the experience of public concerts. To promote research into and the promotion of often-forgotten composers.
