Orchestral version of ‘Die Lullisten - Lully's Followers in Germany’ by El Gran Teatro del Mundo

23 August Austria / Innsbruck

Awarded the prestigious Diapason d’Or, the ensemble’s iconic programme explores works by composers from the former Holy Roman Empire—such as Muffat, Telemann, and Fischer—who, though not French, were deeply influenced by the style of this country. This expanded orchestral format will bring to life this unusual repertoire using highly specific period instruments, including violettes and tenor violas (haute-contre de violon and quinte de violon).
Both the artistic concept and the majestic Spanish Hall of Ambras Castle, where the concert will take place, highlight the rich diversity and grandeur of cultural exchanges in Baroque Europe, a subject of particular fascination for the ensemble.
