Teatro Sant'Angelo - Adèle Charvet & Le Consort

In Venice, it was at the now defunct Teatro Sant'Angelo that Vivaldi regularly premiered his operas. This programme offers us a selection of arias from the productions that were all the rage there. The ensemble Le Consort and mezzo-soprano Adèle Charvet perform rarely heard opera arias by Vivaldi and his contemporaries. In this repertoire, which is at times intimate and at times virtuosic, Adèle Charvet's superb voice becomes velvety or fiery to enhance this music with extreme delicacy. A concert not to be missed!
