The summer solstice, when daylight stretches to its furthest reach, blurs the line between day and night and celebrates the sun at its peak. In this midsummer celebration, the Hathor Consort brings together the contrasts of North and South: ethereal Norwegian singing with the Hardanger fiddle, passionate flamenco singing with guitar, and Italian Baroque repertoire in a lively dialogue characterised by light, emotion, and ritual.

At its core lies dance: from the trance-like movements of midsummer celebrations to the driving pulse of communal gatherings, where music and motion become one, and tradition is carried forward through shared energy and sound.
