Forgotten Memories Ockeghem & the Last Flames of Love in the Middle Ages - Apotropaïk

The musicians of the Apotropaïk ensemble summon Binchois, Ockeghem and Dufay, the most illustrious Franco-Flemish composers of the 15th century, to explore the theme of love. Rondeaux, virelais and ballads are performed with great freshness and passion by the four performers, all trained at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in Lyon. Despite the almost six hundred years that separate us from them, these works still seem very accessible today, offering instantly recognisable melodies of timeless beauty.
