Concerto Grosso is one of the noble forms of Italian Baroque that is celebrated here through Symphonies and Concertos by masters such as Alessandro Scarlatti, with its surprising timbral solutions and rhythms that recall the Neapolitan tradition, and Antonio Vivaldi, with its most celebrated pages such as the evocative Bassoon Concerto La Notte and the virtuoso Concerto for two cellos. Dall'Abaco's brilliant symphonies enrich the excursus in the instrumental music of the time. Directed by Fabio Missaggia on the violin, Ensemble I Musicali Affetti will bring these amazing symphonies to life, from which solo instruments such as the recorder, bassoon, cellos and violin will emerge.
