Seufzer | BARBARA Ensemble
From 30 November to 30 November Germany / Cologne
"Seufzer" explores the universal human expression of sighing, aiming to bridge the gap between past and present, particularly in light of the multifaceted crises shaping our society today. The sigh is a symbol that transcends time and genre, prompting us to reflect on the continuity of human emotions. The ensemble takes Baroque arias out of their usual concert context, combines them with pop songs, and places them within a contemporary social framework. The audience is invited to move freely through the walk-through stage set, engaging directly with the musicians and experiencing music in a new way.
