ORFEO MUSICALE
Giuseppe Torelli tra Bologna, Modena e l'Europa

Rosso Verona Baroque Ensemble
Pietro Battistoni violin and direction

This concert is an unmissable opportunity to rediscover Giuseppe Torelli, a highly refined composer whose extraordinary pieces are proposed, many of which are kept in manuscripts in the Biblioteca Estense just a few meters from the Galleria. His music will have traveling companion pieces by composers contemporary to him such as Dall'Abaco, Boni, Corelli and even a sonata attributed to Johann Sebastian Bach. A rich excursus into the instrumental music of the Italian and European seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, which reveals the influences and artistic exchanges of a golden age. Rosso Verona Baroque Ensemble is the protagonist of the concert under the guidance of Pietro Battistoni, after studies and recordings dedicated to the music of Giuseppe Torelli. In the morning, a taste of Torelli's music is offered to younger children by taking them into the world of Baroque music through an immersive experience among the colors of the paintings and music.
