OPEN AUDITION 4-5 Dec 2025

The Academia Montis Regalis is accepting applications for its auditions on 4 and 5 December 2025 in Mondovì. This is an ideal opportunity for musicians specialising in early music, as the orchestra is looking for talented individuals who can perform in a Baroque or Classical context, using historical instruments and a tuning fork set to 415 Hz. Applicants must be of legal age and have a diploma equivalent to a conservatory degree.

During the audition, they will be required to perform a piece of their choice lasting at least fifteen minutes and covering two different styles or periods, then play an excerpt chosen by the committee during a sight-reading test (orchestral or basso continuo). A harpsichordist will be provided to accompany the candidates, but they may also bring their own accompanist.

The selection will be made by an artistic committee, and the musicians selected will be placed on a reserve list: this does not guarantee immediate employment, but offers opportunities for engagement according to the future needs of the orchestra. For those coming from afar, the foundation provides logistical support for accommodation in Mondovì during the auditions.
