The invitation of the Fondazione Pietà de’ Turchini for this season is to go Beyond: not merely a title, but a thematic horizon expressing the aspiration of Federica Castaldo – President and Artistic Director of the Foundation – to shape a vision free from pre-established categories, unbound by constraints of genre or repertoire. It also reflects the metaphorical need to open a path, through music, toward new possible harmonies, beyond the unspeakable and indecipherable chaos of the present.
The programme will run from 25 October 2025 to 15 May 2026.
“Beyond is a word that contains within itself the idea of expansion, of overcoming limits, of exploring new frontiers. Yet it is also a word that slips away the more one tries to grasp it, constantly revealing another aspect one had not considered. In this sense, Beyond seeks to unveil to our gaze what we cannot rationally comprehend but that music – like all art – allows us to glimpse, to intuit, to feel before we hear”.
