Note Senza Tempo: 8th International Festival of Early Music

From 23 May to 23 May Italy / Sassari

The 2026 programme marks the eighth edition of the International Festival Note Senza Tempo, reflecting a year of dedicated work and a strong commitment to artistic excellence. Behind the visible concerts lies extensive organisational effort, ensuring a well-established cultural project rooted in the local area.

The festival continues to support young musicians, notably through collaborations with the Sassari Youth Early Music Festival and the Accademia Galan, which now trains around 50 young participants across an expanded programme. This initiative contributes to passing on Italy and Europe’s early music heritage to new generations.
While introducing new elements, the festival maintains continuity, reinforced by its membership in the REMA network, enhancing its international profile and promoting Sassari and Sardinia. Concerts will again be spread across neighbouring towns and throughout the year, strengthening its role as a wide-reaching cultural platform.

The programme features renowned national and international ensembles, alongside concerts complemented by masterclasses, seminars, and study days open to the public. The festival thus supports cultural heritage, sustainable tourism, and local development, including in smaller communities.

Finally, the organisers acknowledge supporters, particularly those contributing through the “5x1000” scheme, which helps fund youth-focused projects. The audience is invited to immerse themselves in the music and share in the festival’s enduring spirit.
