Dear friends of the International Early Music Festival Note senza tempo,
the upcoming concerts promise to be of extraordinary interest, both musically and musicologically!
This year marks the 300th anniversary of the death of Alessandro Scarlatti – a composer still partly to be discovered – and we are honored to present newly unearthed, previously unperformed works in modern times.
This year marks the 300th anniversary of the death of Alessandro Scarlatti – a composer still partly to be discovered – and we are honored to present newly unearthed, previously unperformed works in modern times.
The project Scarlatti 300 began in 2023 with the first modern performance of the Mass in canon for five voices, and continued in 2024 with the reconstruction of a Vespers service featuring newly edited antiphons, also presented as a world premiere.
Thanks to the musicological research of Maestro Ondřej Macek, we – together with the ensembles Dolci Accenti and the acclaimed Hof Musici – have brought back to light a remarkable set of previously unknown cantatas, which will be performed for the very first time in this concert series.

While Scarlatti takes center stage due to this important anniversary, we have chosen to enrich the program with works by his Neapolitan contemporaries, such as Cristofaro Caresana (1640–1709) and Francesco Provenzale (1632–1704), offering a broader and more captivating glimpse into 17th-century Naples.
An unmissable program that will be presented in various locations, including a special stop in Sardinia – a magnificent island full of traditions, excellent food and wine, stunning sea views… and, of course, unforgettable music!
