Musical tribute to Lucrezia Borgia (1480-1519), daughter of Alexander VI, married three times, with one murdered husband and one illegitimate son. All this at the age of only 39 and in the middle of the Renaissance. The concert programme is based on Lucrezia's contemporary music and shows us her humanity, as Dario Fo says, by attempting to free her from the cliché of the depraved and incestuous woman and embed her in the historical context and everyday life of her time. In this way, the concert allows us to experience the fascination of the Italian Renaissance courts up close. Lucrezia's birth in Rome in 1480, the fall of Granada, her marriages to Giovanni Sforza, Alfonso d'Este and Alfonso d'Aragona, her relationships with Pietro Bembo, Isabella and the court of Ferrara, as well as with musicians such as Bartolomeo Tromboncino and Joan Ambrosi Dalça. Entirely dedicated to her devotion and her death in 1519.
Elia Casanova, vocals
Carles Magraner, viola da gamba
Robert Cases, guitar and vihuela
