Lettur&Note – Arts in a glass – Tribute to William Shakespeare: The Queenes Maskes
13 September Italy / Polcenigo
Lettur&Note debuts in the elegant Palazzo Scolari di Polcenigo with a program that pays homage to the Elizabethan Golden Age, when music and literature intertwined in spectacular forms, such as the "masque," in which courtiers and musicians enlivened lavish court entertainments, often attended by the queen herself. Shakespeare's theater flourished in the same climate, capturing the stirrings of the human soul through his works, blending comedy, drama, and poetry. Readings of significant passages from the Bard's works alternate with pieces for the lute, the true protagonist of the music performed during the performances, to relive the atmosphere of court life. At the end of the event, the audience will be able to taste the finest wines from Friulian wineries. The event is organized in collaboration with the Associazione Dimore Storiche Italiane – Friuli Venezia Giulia section.
