Laus Polyphoniae 2025

From 22 August to 30 August Belgium / Antwerp

Ars Antiqua – Ars Nova – Ars Subtilior
Polyphony from the age of cathedral builders (1140-1440)

In 2025, Laus Polyphoniae explores the cathedral as a symbol of artistic revolution. Following the reopening of Notre-Dame de Paris in December 2024, this edition delves into the architecture and music that reshaped Europe from the 12th century onwards. From ars antiqua to ars subtilior, from sacred polyphony to secular song, the festival traverses France, the Low Countries, England, Spain and Italy.

Expect an exceptional line-up – Huelgas Ensemble, graindelavoix, Gothic Voices, Hespèrion XXI, Alla Francesca Jeune Ensemble, Mala Punica and many more – in Antwerp’s finest historical venues. Laus 2025 invites you to experience a world where cathedrals became musical laboratories and heavenly sounds echoed through stone.

Come discover the soundscape of a new era!
