Il Concerto Caccini

02 July/20h30 France / Martillac

Il Concerto Caccini a family story...

Giulio Caccini sang his madrigals with his wife and two daughters Francesca and Settimia, themselves composers. The “Concerto Caccini” was remembered all the way to the French court around 1600.
It was also the birth of opera and the Baroque revolution in Italy, whose style would influence all music in Europe.

The lyrical artists and instrumentalists of the Belgian ensemble Scherzi Musicali take up the challenge, led by its founder, the well-known Nicolas Achten, baritone, accompanying himself on harp, theorbo, guitar in the tradition... originating with the Caccini!

After the concert, wine tasting of Château Latour Martillac, Grand Cru classé de Graves.
