Iberian Academy - Fiesta española

The vocal ensemble Cantoría took part in the Iberian Academy of Wrocław with a remarkable presence both artistically and pedagogically. Under the direction of Jorge Losana, the group opened the festival with a programme focused on Spanish Baroque villancicos and jácaras, a vibrant repertoire that blends sacred and popular elements, characterised by its energy, rhythmic richness, and expressive diversity.
In addition, Cantoría collaborated in the Academy’s masterclasses on historically informed performance, guiding young musicians in the exploration of this repertoire. The final concert brought together students and emerging artists alongside established ensembles, creating an intergenerational dialogue around Iberian early music.
During their stay in Wrocław, the ensemble also recorded a new album, which will be released soon, further strengthening their international projection.
