Bavarian Christmas
Bavarian Christmas
Winter and Christmas poems in Bavarian dialect and, of course, excerpts from Ludwig Thoma's famous Christmas story are read by ‘Bavarian professor’ Dr Klaus Wolf. Monika Drasch accompanies him on her green violin and zither. The atmosphere is tranquil, but also powerful when the bagpipes sound and remind us of times long past.
Wonderful two-part songs, sung by former Tölzer Sängerknaben Martin Danes and the eternally young, cheeky and fresh soprano voice of Monika Drasch, enchant and entice you to sing along. Of course, there will be plenty of yodelling together.
