These unique compositions are the result of Boccherini's Spanish stay and his collaboration with the Marquis of Benavente, a passionate guitarist. The maestro from Lucca fused classical elegance with the warmth and vibrancy of the Spanish instrument, creating a perfect balance between virtuosity and singability. It is an unusual repertoire for the time, capable of introducing new romantic nuances and revealing Boccherini's originality in his richness of color and in his, at times, dreamlike approach. The guitarist Eugenio Della Chiara will bring these masterful pages to life, together with the Ensemble Aurora and its founder on the historic violin Enrico Gatti, a leading formation in the international panorama of ancient music, award-winning and recognized for its interpretative rigor and its rediscoveries.
