DANZA, AFFETTI E STILE GALANTE
del Barocco francese

Ensemble Auser Musici
The concerto is a refined portrait of French instrumental art in the late seventeenth and mid-eighteenth centuries, exploring the transition from a majestic baroque to a more intimate and affectionate sensibility. The undisputed protagonists are two giants: Marin Marais, the last great virtuoso of the viola da gamba, with his Couplets de Folie and evocative courtly dances, and Jean-Marie Leclair, great instrumentalist and composer, who in his Sonatas performed on the transverse flute blends elegance French and Italian virtuosity. It will be an exemplary staging of bon goût Français, a subtle musical dialogue between the soft sound of the transverse flute, the profound expressiveness of the viola da gamba and the precious harmonic interweaving of theorbo and harpsichord.
