Alarcos Early Music Festival

As a reaction to Renaissance art, formal, normative and bare; the baroque style arises with sharp contrasts, great creative freedom, passionate exaggerations and theatricality. One of the most apparent and meritorious pictorial aspects of the Baroque style is chiaroscuro. It consists of making light fall on objects and characters, creating enhanced effects of light and shadow that determine a gloomy atmosphere and perspective.
Carles Magraner, conducting and viola da gamba
Beatriz Lafont, soprano and baroque guitar
Manuel Minguillรณn, baroque guitar and theorbo
