What object more than others could restore the ferment, enthusiasm and contradictions of the Middle Ages of the cathedrals? To tell the story of an era that rediscovered ancient thought and with it the innovations of science from the confrontation with Islamic culture, and later, due to the widespread linguistic and commercial pluralism, drew borders in which the foreigner was often the enemy, perhaps that object could be one of the most famous musical manuscripts of the thirteenth century, the Codex Buranus.
