Cantoría at the Louvre

Cantoría and its artistic director Jorge Losana will make their debut at the Louvre in Paris with The Music of Zurbarán. Presented to mark the opening of the museum’s new exhibition devoted to the Spanish master, the programme explores the splendour of music from the Iberian Peninsula at the close of the Golden Age.

Later that month, on 16 October, Cantoría will release ¡A la fiesta!, its second album and its first for the Alpha label. Mainly devoted to the villancicos of José de San Juan (1687–1735), the recording brings to light rarely heard repertoire, with most of its tracks presented as world premiere recordings.
