Arsen Petrosyan Quartet / Armenian love

12 February Belgium / Bruges

Arsen Petrosyan is a master of the Armenian duduk, a reed instrument made from apricot wood. In this concert he explores the four forms of love the ancient Greeks recognised: philia, eros, agape and pragma – friendship, desire, universal love and practical, rational love. An exceptionally ‘loving’ programme, featuring music from the 10th to the 19th century. Respectable and wise… and occasionally surprisingly humorous.
