With Actéon, Marc-Antoine Charpentier revives, in this miniature drama, the myth of the hunter punished by Diana for surprising the goddess while she was bathing. Performed by an ensemble dear to the composer – a few singers, two violins, two flutes and basso continuo – Actéon reveals all its dramatic and expressive finesse. Scherzi Musicali invites you to listen to this Actéon, whose recording, combined with its unpublished twin work, Actéon changé en biche, will be released in June 2026.
