56th Varaždin Baroque Evenings (18–29 September 2026)
The 56th Varaždin Baroque Evenings (VBV) will take place from 18 to 29 September 2026, bringing together outstanding artists and ensembles from across Europe in one of the continent's most respected early music festivals.
This year's Partner Country is the Kingdom of Belgium, whose rich tradition of historically informed performance will be showcased through eight outstanding festival programmes. During eleven festival days, audiences will enjoy 28 concerts at 17 venues—17 concerts in Varaždin and 11 concerts in other Croatian towns and historic locations.
The festival will welcome internationally acclaimed artists such as Philippe Jaroussky, B'Rock Orchestra, Stefan Milenkovich, , Ricercar Consort, Les Muffatti, Ensemble Clematis, and many others.
Alongside masterpieces of the European Baroque repertoire, VBV continues its commitment to promoting Croatia's rich musical heritage through performances by leading Croatian artists and ensembles. Set against the unique historical backdrop of Varaždin and its surrounding region, the festival offers an inspiring blend of artistic excellence, cultural heritage, and international collaboration.
