2026 Jean-Sébastien Bach International Festival

From 25 July to 02 August France / Saint-Donat-sur-l'Herbasse

From 25 July to 2 August 2026, the Jean-Sébastien Bach International Festival will bring the Collegiate Church of Saint-Donat-sur-l'Herbasse and several heritage sites in the Drôme to life with the sounds of early music. Remaining true to its heritage whilst embracing new horizons, this year’s festival offers an inspiring dialogue between Baroque masterpieces and more contemporary art forms.
Centred on Bach, Vivaldi, Monteverdi, Charpentier and Rameau, the festival brings together leading performers for a rich and eclectic programme: highlights from the repertoire, original compositions, musical journeys, encounters between the Baroque and flamenco, not to mention more unusual formats that invite the audience to rediscover early music in a new light. This year’s festival is all about curiosity, sharing and emotion, set against the exceptional backdrop of the historic heritage of Saint-Donat-sur-l’Herbasse.
